The T-SMART T1 Intelligent CSU provides in-service monitoring of both ESF and SF (D4)

networks for early detection of developing problems. The performance results of the

last 24 hours, stored in 15-minute intervals, can be accessed with an ASCII terminal.

The T-SMART can automatically report alarm conditions and can be further diagnosed

using user-selectable loop-back tests and a built-in test signal generator. Network

and terminal sides can be independently configured for ESF or SF and B8ZS or AMI.

The T-SMART meets all FCC and carrier requirements for a standard interface between

the user and the T1 network, including T1 ISDN PRI service.

add/drop DSU/CSUs, which are designed for high-density T1/FT1 network

installations. They support rapid expansion capabilities and comprehensive

management options appropriate for central offices and corporate and government

networks. The DataSMART 558 plug-ins offer auto-configuration for fast provisioning

of additional circuits in rapidly growing environments. An add/drop port provides an

additional T1 to allow aggregation of T1 and V.35 traffic.
